Meeting at your hotel or an established central location, your guide will introduce the tour before leading you through the very heart of historic Florence. You will visit the magnificent Duomo and Baptistery, marvel at the breathtaking scale of the cathedral and the golden mosaics of its ancient doors, then cross the elegant Piazza della Repubblica before exploring the grand Renaissance palaces along Via Tornabuoni and the imposing façade of Palazzo Strozzi.

The itinerary continues through the architecturally stunning Santa Maria Novella, across the graceful arches of Ponte Santa Trinità, and onto the legendary Ponte Vecchio with its centuries-old jewellers’ shops suspended above the Arno. You will then arrive at the magnificent Piazza della Signoria and the world-famous Uffizi Gallery, before wandering into the medieval quarter to discover Dante’s House and the ancient Medieval Towers that once defined the Florentine skyline.

With an additional hour, your private guide can arrange a visit to one of Florence’s great museums — such as the Accademia Gallery, home of Michelangelo’s David, or the Medici Chapels, a breathtaking monument to the most powerful family of the Renaissance.

Meeting at your hotel or an established location, your private guide will lead you through the elegant heart of historic Florence. You will discover Orsanmichele, the extraordinary medieval church and grain market whose exterior is lined with Renaissance sculptures, before crossing the lively Piazza della Repubblica and stepping into the quiet grandeur of Piazza Davanzati.

The tour continues past the imposing facade of Palazzo Strozzi and into the remarkable Santa Maria Novella, including a visit to the legendary Officina Profumeria di Santa Maria Novella, one of the oldest pharmacies in the world still in operation today. From there you will stroll to the iconic Ponte Vecchio, cross into the historic center and arrive at the magnificent Piazza della Signoria, before ending with the breathtaking Duomo and its surrounding monuments — plus many other hidden gems and secret corners scattered throughout Florence’s extraordinary historical center. The tour concludes at the magnificent Santa Croce, the great Franciscan basilica and resting place of Michelangelo, Galileo, and Machiavelli.
